Todd Charles Picard Jr was born on June 10 at 7:57 pm... after 6 hours of induced labor... he was a wopping 9 pound 21 and 1/4 inches long... and was so ready to pull his own breath swallowed a big gulp of amniotic fluid... But he pinked up rather quickly...

Thursday was quite a day in our house... Ryan is doing great. His red blood count is still high due to the fluid he had in his lungs at birth. They got his respiratory rate down finally and the neo doc said he looks great now. I'm now a full 3cm. dilated and 60% effaced. The ob that I saw today said that she has no problem inducing me on Friday if that is what I choose to do. She said that she will break my water and then start the pitocin drip. I told her that I'd like to wait and see what the tests show on Thursday.

My induction went great for the most part. The baby had to have a vacuum on her head to help get her out. I ended up tearing really bad. And had to stay a few extra days in the hospital.

After 24 hours of labor and a c-section
6 pounds 10 ounces and 20 inches long (currently about 8 pounds!)
I had to be induced at 36.5 weeks due to pre-eclampsia after staying in the hospital for 1 week. I was on bed rest since 27 weeks gestation due to incompetent cervix.
